Co-Sleeping
Wednesday, May 6, 2009
When we have babies some day, we don't have to worry about them taking up permanent residence in our bed. There's not much room, because we already have a warm little body who sleeps between us.
Her name is Tessa.
She's an 11 lb. miniature dachshund who undoubtedly thinks she is a human baby. And this is how she sleeps with us. No joke. All cuddled up, on her back, completely passed out.
In the cold winter months, she usually burrows under all of the covers and sleeps curled up next to our legs, but now that it's too hot under there, she's back up right in between us. And even after three years with our little "baby," we still can't get over the hilariousness.
I have to say, though... she is an excellent cuddler. Top notch.

Adorable! You always check before you sit down at my mom's because of of the two little ones could be underneath! Its so cute how they love to burrow!
Co-sleeping is scary, there have been a lot of baby deaths in Milwaukee lately because of it.
How CUTE!!! My puppy, Baxter, does the same thing. He passes out curled up in between us!
I'm not sure how I feel about co-sleeping but "furry babies" are fast enough to get out of the way of rolling parents.
Awww! :) Ringo, my Pomeranian, does the same thing. We don't let him sleep all night in the bed, but he cuddles before we fall asleep. There is NOTHING like puppy cuddles! :)
Adorable!!!! :)
this reminds me so much of our johnny...he is always at te end of the bottem by our feet. and sometimes he goes right inbetween us. he loves to be really tight together. too cute!
This looks exactly like our sleeping situation! So cute--so hard to kick them out!
super cute! God only knows how you got that shot!
Haha, Gen-- By holding my BlackBerry camera as far up in the air as I could? (I wasn't really sleeping yet.) :)
Awww! She's so cute. Love me some Tessa!!
that is adorable. our 30 lb puggle sleeps like that at first but eventually moves down to the edge of the bed by morning.
That's how we sleep too. I can't imagine how small the bed will be when we get a 2nd furbaby. No co-sleeping in our future either.
